Tour Duration: 8 days / 7 nights
Day 1:
Arrive at Lucerne where you check into a hotel and relax for the remaining part of the day. Overnight stay would be at Lucerne.
Day 2:
On the second day of the Swiss Train Tour, indulge in a Lake cruise from Lucerne to Vitznau. Visit some of the most famous attractions of Lucerne including the wooden Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument besides the picturesque villages scattered along the lakeside.
Day 3:
Arrive at the railway station to board the Golden Pass train to Interlaken. The train journey would treat you to panoramic views of the Swiss mountain slopes and valleys along with the pretty chalets scattered all across the landscape. Overnight stay would either be at Interlaken or Grindenwald.
Day 4:
As part of the Swiss Train Tour, undertake a memorable trip to Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe. The journey would also treat you to stunning views of the snow covered Alps and the 22 km long Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe. You stay overnight at either Interlaken or Grindenwald.
Day 5:
If you stayed at Interlake the previous night, take a train to Grindenwald in the morning. Indulge in a cable car ride and enjoy magnificent views of the Swiss Alps from the summit of the peak at Grindenwald. Overnight stay can be either at Grindenwald or Interlaken.
Day 6:
On day 6 of the Swiss Train Tour, take the Golden Pass BSL train from Interlaken to Zweisimmen. Pass through Simmertal, one of the best places to enjoy the rural beauty of Switzerland. On arrival at Zweisimmen, board the Golden Pass Train to Montreux. Overnight stay would be at Montreux.
Day 7:
Set out on a sightseeing tour around Montreux that is also the high profile venue of the annual international Jazz Festival. Board the Swiss Chocolate Train to the Nestle chocolate factory, one of the most important attractions of Switzerland. See Swiss chocolates being made besides tasting and buying them. On the way, stop at Gruyere to see traditional Swiss cheese being made. Return to Montreux for an overnight stay.
Day 8:
On the final day of the Swiss Train Tour, travel to the nearest airport to board your return flight or extend your stay by availing some other tour package.
